Year 29 in Butts County Schools!

I began my career as a middle school teacher of math and science at Henderson Middle School. I moved from math and science to teach Computer Science and Technology also in the middle school setting. After I completed my Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, I took a position at Jackson Elementary School as a Speech Therapist until Daughtry Elementary was created and have been working at Daughtry since the doors opened. In my tenure at Daughtry, I have been able to earn my Specialist degree as well as my Doctorate.

I am a Jackson native. I moved away from Jackson for my undergrad degree, but then came back home to stay. I am a beach bum whenever I get the chance! I love to spend my days on the beach sunning, reading, and enjoying my family, friends, and everything the beach has to offer!

I have a very loving and supportive family. We have cats and dogs, rabbits, deer, and whatever animal chooses to visit. Personally, I am TOTALLY A CAT PERSON, but I guess at times you have to love the "other" animal as well :0) However, cats continue to rule!!!

Finally, I love working with students in the area of Speech Language Pathology! Experiencing students' progress, smiles, and different personalities are incredible, but those "ah ha" moments for the students are more valuable and emotional than can be imagined!
