Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (M.Ed.-SLP)

Specialist Degree in Administrative Leadership (Ed.S.-SLP)

I have been an employee of Butts County Schools for 29 years! I began my career as a middle school teacher of math and science at Henderson Middle School. I moved from math and science to teach Computer Science and Technology also in the middle school setting. After I completed my Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, I took a position at Jackson Elementary School as a Speech Therapist. Then when Daughtry Elementary opened, I stepped into the Speech Therapist's position and have been here ever since!

I am a Jackson native. I moved away from Jackson long enough to earn my Bachelor's degree, but then came back home to stay. I am a beach bum whenever I get the chance! I love to spend my days on the beach sunning, reading, and really enjoying everything the beach has to offer!

I am married to a wonderful man named Tim who is a retired fireman. We have 1 son, Brad, who is a pilot for Endeavor Airlines and GA Forestry. Brad is married and he and Kimberly aka Cupcake reside in Jackson as well. We have cats and dogs who live in and out of our house. Personally, I am TOTALLY A CAT PERSON, but I guess at times you have to love the "other" animal as well :0) However, cats rule!!!

I love working in the area of Speech Language Pathology! Experiencing students' progress and that "ah ha" moment is more valuable and emotional than can be imagined!
