I have been a resident of Jackson since 2003. I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I attended Wingate University, where I was a scholarship athlete for volleyball and swimming. I received my first bachelors degree from Wingate in Public Relations/Communications. After I worked in the corporate world for a few years, I had a calling to do something more meaningful. I wanted to teach! I enrolled at The University of North Carolina where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education. After being in the classroom for 8 years, I wanted to get back to what I enjoy the most...playing sports. I became certified in Physical Education. Sports have always been a huge part of my life. Teaching Physical Education gives me the opportunity to mold student athletes, be a mentor to young children, and teach them the  importance of a healthy lifestyle.

I have been married for 11 years and have two young children who attend Daughtry. Lucy is a Fourth grader and my son Tripp is in Kindergarten. My children love being outside riding bikes or jumping on the trampoline. They are also very active in sports. Our weekends are spent on our 10 acre farm, where we tend to our garden, collect eggs from our 12 chickens, and enjoy feeding our 6 pigs. We enjoy the simple, small town life.
